Peer groups at Stamford Academy are an important part of creating a school environment that is trusting and supportive. Students learn to evaluate themselves through the eyes of their peers. They get important feedback on their personal characteristics. They practice and gain social skills and confidence. They learn fairness, cooperation and how to defer personal gratification to group goals and the community at large.
